NEW YORK in 1 day... Tax Return in 10.

Amdist preparing for finals and working and making plans for the summer... good things are happening!! Tomorrow my darling love bug of a sister and i are flying out to NYC to see Dylan sing at Carnegie Hall. What a stud. Mom and Derek are flying out with him from home and I seriously cannot wait to just play and be away from Provo. (No offense, Provo... but as my facebook recently told, we are in a fight until you decide you want to bring Spring back.) Not that New York will be any warmer by any means, but, I would rather be cold in New York than cold in Utah. Let's be serious here.

In other news- California is on my good list because they will soon be directly depositing my tax return. For the day when Utah can be rewarded again, I am leaning towards purchasing one of these... yes?

oh how I love having my baby brother in town.

my darling cute little wonderful brother of mine is going to serve a mission for our church!!

he is one of my bestest friends and i love him dearly and will miss him even dearly- er. But, i know this is the best decision he can be making at this point in his life! he has been DYING to get his hands on his call and it finally came in the mail yesterday... just to sit there for 6 hours until he got home from "practice." luckily it remained safe and unopened. the paper cut on his finger is proof he opened it himself.

anyway... i bet you are wondering where he is going!?!?!

GUATE-freakin-MALA!!

my brother gets to spend the next 2 years of his life in Guatemala City, Spanish speaking. What a stud. after hearing how amazing the weather will be, he told my mom "i'm going on a frickin vacation!" you bet i will be visiting him for a vacation of my own when he has finished his work, serving the Lord and loving the people of Guatemala.

derek--- i am proud of you and i love you a lot. i hope it is the best two years of your life. (aside from the one time we went to high school together). you're going to be an amazing missionary!!!

this lady is my hero.

i felt it was necessary for you all to know how much i love my dear, dear mother. For those of you priveleged enough to know her... i know i don't have to remind you of her simple amazingness... for those of you who don't know her... too bad, so sad. Lets talk about the reasons i love this woman.

a. she makes a mean bean dip.

b. she is one of the most nicest, genuine, gorgeous, thoughtful, selfless ladies i have EVER met. (mom, i will get that $20 from you later for adding that part)

c. she LOVES her kids and her husband.

d. she loves everyone on that note...

e. we like to laugh together

f. we like to eat together

g. she is my running errands buddy!!!

h. she is pretty gangster. (click to understand)

i. she is a hard worker and will do all it takes to support us.

j. she let me have bounce houses at my birthday parties... even when i was 17 years old.

k. she sponge bathed me when my leg was broken.

l. we got hooked on greys anatomy together when my leg was broken.

m. she woke up every 4 hours to give me drugs when my leg was broken so i wouldn't O.D in my sleep.

n. she lays out in the sun with me all summer long

o. she makes a point to get to every sporting event, choir concert, and school performance any of her children EVER did and EVER will participate in.

 

p. we go to victorias and get full on tortilla chips and diet coke long before our meal comes.

q. my friends wish she could be their adoptive mother.

r. she makes the cutest aprons in the whole wide world.

s. she doesn't get mad when we play "that's what she said."

t. (she actually plays along when we play "that's what she said." shhh, don't tell dad.)

 

u. when we play risk she feels bad when she kills her children off, and would rather lose first.

v. she texts me when i am in class to keep me entertained.

w. she let us have a dog once... that was a joke.

x. she lets me lay in her bed with her and the father... while he and i fall asleep and she's left wide awake... she does make a VERY nice pillow though. she lets me cuddle a lot.

y. she stays awake until we all get home at night- she is a worrier. it's pretty cute.

z. she birthed 5 children just so we would all be happy together! and we are!!

sooo... i would like to solicite myself. i have been making some pretty fun purses and i think its about time to start finding them a home. here is an example of one of the ones i finished this summer. it is reversible and has a pocket on the inside to match the sash on the outside. i love this bag dearly, it has truly become my pride and joy and i want you to have one, too. if you know someone who might be interested... please feel free to let me know! i'm thinking i will try to sell them for about $30. but, i'm pretty easy to get a long with if you'd like to negotiate prices... aslo- i have tons of other fabric for these bags... so as soon as i finish the next bundle i will post pictures of the ones that are done! okay-- um, this isn't ebay, but, happy bidding!!
