i have been having MAJOR car issues (no, that is not a mini miracle. i am not THHAAAT good at finding positives in everything) but, the people at the transmission place wanted me to leave my car with them today. that posed a few problems, a- because i had some errands i needed to run... b- because i was really set on getting it washed at Sonic where i could sit outside and eat some otter pops... and c- because i have been planning on going and playing with Jen in SLC tomorrow and then meeting my "pen pal."
anyway. after weighing the options- options a, b and c combined were much, much more appealing than leaving my car with technician boys who really are just going to break my heart and tell me how much money to give them. delaying that DTR is something i can handle.
so tonight, because i had my car, i DROVE (because that is what you do with cars) to Rachels house and we watched a movie and got some yogurt at yozone. (Cookies and cream with brownies on top. delish. i think i am about 3 stamps from getting a free yogurt. finally) On my way home around midnight thirty, i decided to turn down a street i usually don't take... DUN DUN DUUUUNNNN... and right as i was turning onto the street that i DO usually take, i saw a car flip around to parallel park. what you need to know is- south of campus is an awful place and someone decided it would be a smart idea to have ditches instead of curbs. so- as this little car flipped around, it's front right tire went straight for the ditch, and then straight into it. the driver was trying so hard to turn out of it, that she straightened her wheel and the tire just dropped into the ditch, leaving the rest of her car up on the street. DISASTER! and stacie to the rescue.
then i pulled up and thought to myself- what in the crap am i going to do? all i have to offer is a clean car... which, by the way, the headlights were AMAZINGLY bright because the nice car wash boys cleaned all those crusty bugs off the glass. anyway- just then a nice boy from chile rolled up on his bike and asked for a jack. the car that was stuck was old and it's jack wasn't doing the trick-- so, DUN DUN DUUUUUUNNNN- we used mine!! and it did the trick!! he just cranked that bad boy out of there and we got the car out of the ditch. i think we should make a movie out of this.
oh it made my heart so happy.
i love being in the right place at the right time.
coincidence? i think not!! mini miracle, of course.
in other news- my sister got a "real person job" and today i had to go to del taco... "with my by myself..." ya- if someone can find the mini miracle in that one, please let me know asap. that was a tragic experience. i hope those therapy patients know how lucky they are they get to hog my sister. ALLLMMMMOOOOST makes me want to tear my ACL again. ALMOST.
I love mini-miracles. Lucky for her you were in the right place (or street) at the right time :) I love when things like that happen!!! I am SO sorry you are having so many problems with the beloved or not so beloved Commander :( I love you terribly and miss you, even more!
